Music for sleeping Boy

A soundtrack to a contemplation of what we are and where we come from. An attempt to reconnect to that what is bigger and more timeless than we are as individuals. A journey of wonder, peace and contemplation.

Music for Sleeping Boy

Life itself is magical.

When you grow up, you sometimes lose touch with what you are and where you came from.

I believe this is something bigger than we are, and that we are all connected to it somehow.

And, if you try and let it happen, you can sometimes connect to that again.

In the week following the birth of our son Simon Yanuk, I wrote “Music for Sleeping Boy”.

A lot was going through my mind at that moment, and I just had to compose.

During writing I often checked in to see how Simon was sleeping and to be next to him to enjoy the moment.

Music for Sleeping Boy was produced in Presonus Studio One with the VPS Avenger synthesizer as main instrument.

All patches were designed by Minko’s good friend Jaap Visser from Triple Spiral Audio.

The tracks have been mastered by Dion Posdijk from AudioNFX.

Between Frames is a music label for original (indie) film soundtracks (OST’s) and compilations. The label is run by Hunchback Music.

Being part of an incredible story on the screen, these pieces of music also can stand on their own. These auditory stories deserve an extra life after their original purpose of being on the screen. While being composed and synchronized to the film, we like to extend that experience as an extra outlet for composers but also serve as a marketing tool for the film itself.
